Manner of ERNST BARLACH, Germany (1830-1978), Zwei Nonnan (Two Nuns), Black plaster patina, over metal figural group of two nuns in embrace, on a rectangular base, unsigned, 33cm high Ernst BARLACH was a German Expressionist sculptor and his work ‘Das Wiedersehen’ is remarkably close to the present lot in design and sculpting. This piece came from the studio of a well known 20th century artist.
