A lovely set of six Arts & Crafts oak and rush ladder-back dining chairs, the design attributed to Sir Ambrose Heal, circa 1930, made by Heal and Sons, each with a simple three bar back, inset rush seat with oak corner blocks and set on plain legs with an H-stretcher, Heal & Co, inset plaque to frame, includes five chairs and one armchair (5+1). This pattern follows the ‘Letchworth’ pattern, however the inset seat seems very well handled and gives the piece a more elegant line.
