A very fine Chinese Canton black and gilt lacquered work table, circa 1855,  with a rounded rectangular hinged lid, opening to a fitted interior, the lid inscribed and dated internally, ‘S.G to X.M Canton 30th January 1855’, set over a slide out crimson silk covered work basket, within turned pillar supports with gilt carved feet, the whole profusely decorated with chinoiserie, 76cm high, 64cm wide, 43cm deep IVORY EXEMPTION: YEEP194T
