Pair of English Victorian Brass Candlesticks with Turned Bells circa 1890, ex Kentshire - Pair Of English Victorian Brass Bell Candlesticks England, circa 1890. Pair of Victorian brass “pub” candlesticks, each with cylindrical candle socket above a turned standard, suspended bell, and broad dished base. The bell form allows each candlestick to function as a table bell, a charming utilitarian detail associated with tavern, pub, or domestic service use. Provenance: Acquired from Kentshire Galleries through Bergdorf Goodman. Letter of authenticity issued by Robert Israel of Kentshire in 2000 to consignor included with the lot. 13 in.
