Original labels retained to underside. A modernist “Superellipse” coffee table designed by Piet Hein and Bruno Mathsson, circa 1960s. The top is executed in book-matched Karelian birch veneer, with a gently beveled underside edge that gives the table a thin, floating visual profile. This lightness is further emphasized by the transparent chrome steel legs, each formed from four slender rods tapering downward to custom feet on circular pads. A very good early example of the design, retaining its original labels to the underside. 20 1/2 in. H x 63 in. W x 45 1/4 in. D
