Antique Metal & Wood Steamer Trunk with Interior Drawers - Antique steamer or traveling trunk featuring a metal-clad exterior reinforced with wooden slats, heavy iron strapping, decorative embossed metal mounts, corner protectors, and period hardware. The trunk features a hinged lift top together with a front-opening door concealing three fitted wooden storage drawers. Constructed for substantial travel and storage, with side carrying handles and extensive metal reinforcement throughout. The combination of wood slats, metal panels, decorative hardware, and fitted drawer interior gives the trunk strong late 19th to early 20th century character. Retains an appealing aged surface with expected wear, oxidation, staining, scratches, losses, and evidence of use. Handles appear to include period and/or replacement components.
