Bidspirit auction | Cast Iron Scottie Dog Boot

Cast Iron Scottie Dog Boot Scraper - This cast iron boot scraper is in the form of a Scottish Terrier. The dog stands alert on an oval base with ears up and tail raised, and wears a collar tied with a large bow. The coat is well detailed, with textured, wavy fur throughout. The upright scraper blade runs lengthwise behind the dog, between the head and tail. The base is drilled with holes so it can be anchored to a step or porch. It has a red-brown painted finish with darker highlights in the recesses. It's a charming and practical piece for a front entry, mudroom, or garden, and a nice find for Scottie collectors. It measures approximately 15” x 10” x 6”. Condition: There is paint wear and flaking, mainly along the top edge of the blade, along with scattered surface wear and minor debris consistent with use. Please see photos for condition.
