M 1866 French Chassepot Bayonet German Captured & Reworked
Franco Prussian War M1866 French Chassepot bayonet. German capture and rework as evidenced by the different frog stud on the scabbard and German markings on the crossguard. Manufacture information on the spine along with an 1867 date. Scabbard has a dent. Overall length of bayonet is 27.5" with a 22.5" blade. In-house shipping is available. Open pickup is Tuesday, Oct. 29 from Noon to 7 pm at our offices in Carroll, OH 43112 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. We charge $5/lot if you want to pick up a different day.
