Rare Colt 1855 Revolving Rifle 56 Caliber Possible Civil War
BRAND: Colt MODEL: 1855 revolving rifle SERIAL: 6373/8194 CALIBER/GAUGE: 56 CONDITION: Good. Rifle does go to half and full cock, and will fire. The cylinder does turn when cocking. The cylinder doesn't want to lock up fully when not cocked or at full cock, it will sometimes lock as it should, sometimes turn very easily or sometimes turn with just a little effort. But overall it is functional. SIZE: Barrel is 21.675" long. Overall 40 1/4" NOTES: Serial on underside of frame is either 3194 or 8194. Barrel and loading lever catch numbers match this number. The trigger plate has been replaced and is numbered 6373 and matches that of the butt plate. ***AN ATF BACKGROUND CHECK IS NOT REQUIRED, AND THIS CAN BE SHIPPED DIRECT TO YOU*** OTHER INFO: A rare gun. Serial number is in the range of Colt Revolving Rifles issued to the 4th Michigan in 1862 during the Civil War. PICKUP/SHIPPING INFO: In-house shipping available.
