The first is a VAN CORT INSTRUMENTS 'The Dragonfly' Dioptric Scope, manufactured in 1988 by VAN CORT INSTRUMENTS, INC. of Northampton, MA. This unique instrument features a patented multi-prism lens designed to produce 24 upright images and is housed within a distinctive bell-shaped casing crafted from layers of dyed birch. The concept of this dioptric scope dates back to experimentation in George Washington's time. The second item is a vintage brass monocular telescope, complete with a fitted black leather carrying case adorned with a red, white, and blue shield emblem. See photos for any condition details.
