Vintage John Deere B Tractor - Classic One Owner Bought New 1946 Barn Kept - UPDATE: The owner, whose family has always owned this tractor, went out and pull started this and made a video we posted. The starter does not work, but once running the tractor does drives forward and in reverse. It will need some carb work as he had to use the manual fuel shutoff to keep it from flooding. But this test is a pretty good indication that this tractor probably won't need much - carb work and a starter - to get going. Cash or cashier's check only on this lot. Purchased by our seller's family new in September 1946 from Fred Lifer for $1,600.02. The consignor reports it was the first tractor in Fairfield County sold with hydraulics. Ran when parked. Appears excellent overall. Does not currently run, was pulled from the barn for photos. Should not take much to get it going, but we have not tried to run it.
