J.E. Stevens 'William Tell' Cast Iron Mechanical Bank, Patented 1896 - A J.E. Stevens 'William Tell' cast iron mechanical bank, patented June 23, 1896. This antique coin bank is crafted from painted cast iron, depicting a figure in period attire, aiming a rifle towards a smaller figure emerging from a multi-story brick-patterned tower. The base is molded to resemble a grassy landscape. The underside is marked ”PATENTED JUNE 23 1896” and includes a circular metal plate with a keyhole for coin retrieval. The design reflects a late 19th to early 20th-century American folk art and toy aesthetic. Length: 10.5 inches (26.7 cm). Burns in-house shipping is available.
