An Antique Victorian High-Wheel Bicycle, known as a 'Penny-Farthing' - An antique high-wheel bicycle, commonly known as a ”penny-farthing,” characteristic of the late 19th-century Victorian era. Constructed primarily of metal (likely steel or iron) for the frame, spokes, and hubs, it features solid rubber tires, a highly deteriorated and torn leather saddle, and wooden handlebar grips. A faint marking ”54” is visible on the front fork. Large front wheel diameter: approximately 58 inches Overall height at handlebars: approximately 59-60 inches. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Wednesday, Oct. 29, from Noon to 7 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
