A Collection of Early 20th Century Halloween Postcards, including Gibson Art Company - A Group of early 20th century Halloween-themed postcards, including examples published by The Gibson Art Company, Cincinnati - New York, International Art Pub. Co. New York Berlin, and with copyright references to P.F. Voland & Co. (1903, 1909). Each printed paper card, dating to the early 20th century (with visible postmarks from 1909 and 1915), features colorful illustrations characteristic of the Golden Age of postcards. Depictions include children in costumes, witches, black cats, owls, and jack-o'-lanterns. Visible textual elements include ”A thrilling HALLOWEEN,” ”A Happy HALLOWEEN,” ”Halloween,” and ”Ye GHOST STORY,” alongside various holiday greetings and poems. Several cards are used, displaying handwritten messages, addresses, and U.S. One Cent postage stamps with dated postmarks.. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Wednesday, Oct. 29, from Noon to 7 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
