A Pair of Vintage American Die-Cut Cardboard Halloween Devil Face Lanterns, Mid-20th Century - A Pair of vintage American die-cut cardboard Halloween devil face lanterns, dating to the mid-20th century. Each lantern is crafted from printed and die-cut cardboard or heavy paper, shaped as a grinning red devil face with black hair, horns, green eyelids, and white teeth. The items form hollow, rectangular boxes with the decorative faces attached, secured by small metal staples. The interiors are light tan and each features a bent wire component, likely intended for use as a handle or for hanging. Made in U.S.A. Height: 8.5 inches (each, approximately).
