A Collection of Vintage Mid-20th Century Halloween Decorations and Ephemera - A collection of vintage Halloween-themed items, predominantly molded plastic, dating to the mid-20th century. The lot includes several jack-o'-lantern trick-or-treat pails, one with a wire handle marked ”UNION PRODUCTS INC LEOMINSTER MASS” to the base, and another larger bucket style featuring a black jack-o'-lantern face. Also present are numerous smaller decorative plastic figures such as witches, black cats, pumpkins, and a crescent moon, many marked ”MADE IN HONG KONG” with various numbers (e.g., ”NO. 539,” ”NO. 119,” ”NO. 524”) or ”© FUN WORLD INC.” The collection further comprises a small fabric pumpkin, an orange plastic whistle embossed ”TRICK OR TREAT,” and various plastic cake toppers or picks. A yellow metal tin box, featuring ”Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater” on the lid, is included, marked ”CONTAINER MADE IN ENGLAND” and ”COPYRIGHT 1951 E. LOWE INC.,” with interior text instructing on its use as a wall decoration. Completing the lot is a ”NICK'S TAVERN” matchbook from Cambridge Springs, Penn., displaying a ”Well I'll Be Witched!!” graphic and marked ”MADE IN U.S.A.” Large bucket-style jack-o'-lantern pail: 5 inches (12.7 cm) tall Metal tin box: 7.5 inches (19.05 cm) wide Wire-handle jack-o'-lantern pail: 5.5 inches (13.97 cm) tall Orange crescent moon: 5 inches (12.7 cm) tall Orange plastic whistle: 3.5 inches (8.89 cm) long.
