A Pair of Vintage Collegeville Halloween Costumes and Masks - A Pair of vintage Halloween costumes and masks, primarily manufactured by Collegeville Costumes, dating to the mid-20th century. The lot includes a Popeye costume, identified by its ”Collegeville WHITE for NITE Costume” box as ”POPEYE 220 SMALL (4-6).” This ensemble is crafted from lightweight, shiny fabric in off-white, blue, orange, and red, featuring ”Popeye” text, anchor, ship's wheel, and rope designs. It is accompanied by a painted plastic Popeye mask, embossed ”USA” on the reverse. The Popeye box is marked ”KING FEATURES SYNDICATE” and ”A Safety-First Costume.” A second costume, a black full-body garment of similar crinkled fabric, depicts a skeleton with off-white bones and pink glitter text that reads ”JR BONES 204.” This is paired with a crudely drawn paper skull mask. Also present is a ”Collegeville Costumes” box for a ”BUGS BUNNY 203 LARGE (12-14)” costume, marked ”SPARKLE VELVET' DECORATION” and ”WARNER BROTHERS PICTURES.” The box advertises features such as ”BRIGHT for NIGHT, ” ”FLAME RETARDED, ” and ”WIDE-VISION EYE HOLES.” Additionally, a separate, torn cardboard skull mask from ”Seyfert's POTATO CHIPS” is included, marked ”Happy Hallowe'en” and ”COPYRIGHT GLENN PRINTING COMPANY, INC.
