A Banthrico Sleeping Santa Bank and a Group of Vintage Christmas Figures - A vintage cast metal 'Sleeping Santa' bank by Banthrico Industries Inc., Chicago, U.S.A., depicting a seated Santa, with red, white, and black painted surfaces, and a gold-painted bag textured with a woven pattern. Its galvanized metal base plate is stamped ”BANTHRICO IND. INC. CHICAGO, U.S.A.” and features an applied metal plaque reading ”Save Where Savings Pay 2% The Rapid City National Bank Rapid City, S.D.” Accompanying this bank is a group of additional vintage Christmas-themed figures. These include a smaller fabric and flocked Santa figure with chenille trim; a red molded plastic Santa figure on a green and yellow wheeled platform, marked ”MADE IN U.S.A.”; and a hollow red molded plastic Santa ornament with a metal hanger and a partial, unreadable sticker on its base. All items exhibit signs of age and use consistent with mid-20th century holiday decor.
