Bidspirit auction | A Collection of Vintage Promotional
A Collection of Vintage Promotional Movie and Entertainment Industry Publicity Photos, circa 1930s-1980s - A substantial collection of photographic prints, predominantly black and white, with at least color example, featuring studio portraits and promotional headshots. The collection spans a wide range of styles, from classic mid-20th-century Hollywood glamour shots, including a print marked ”Maurice Seymour CHICAGO” and ”X 392 - 12,” to more contemporary professional portraits likely from the late 20th century. Several photographs bear the name ”DON HACKER” and ”TRIBUNE ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY,” while others are marked with names such as ”PAT HENNING” and ”Photo Jack Mitchell.” Partial visible text on some reverse sides or accompanying slips indicates connections to ”Southland radio fans,” ”KIAC,” and promotional material mentioning ”DORRIN,” an ”actor, currently-turned-author,” and an ”entertainment program,” suggesting ties to the broadcast and entertainment industries. Another partial mark reads ”UNDERWOOD & UNDERWOOD STUDIOS, N.Y.” The prints are on photographic paper, many protected by plastic sleeves. Burns in-house shipping is available.
