A group of Late 19th to Early 20th Century Miniature Pictorial Buttons on Display Card - A group of miniature pictorial buttons, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, presented on an off-white cardboard display card. Each button features a metal rim, likely gilt brass, encasing an image protected under a clear dome, possibly glass or celluloid. The buttons display a diverse array of subjects including portraits, various animals (horses, dogs, birds, roosters), sports figures (cricket, boxing, soccer, equestrian), landscapes (sailing ships), and abstract floral patterns. They are arranged in a triangular-like pattern, with each button centered within a hand-drawn blue circle. Handwritten in the upper left of the card is the English text: ”VERY Good HARD TO FIND”.
