A Collection of Mid-20th Century and Later Novelty Animal Motif Buttons - A group of novelty buttons, presented on a white card. The buttons predominantly feature animal motifs, including squirrels, raccoons, deer, bears, moose, foxes, bison, donkeys, dragons, birds, kangaroos, penguins, cats, and bunnies. Materials vary, encompassing metal (brass, bronze-toned, and silver-toned alloys), an embroidered fabric button, ceramic or porcelain figures, and a printed image on a composite material. A notable inclusion is an actual Australian 1944 Penny coin converted into a button. Visible text includes ”AUSTRALIA,” ”1944,” and ”PENNY” on the coin, and ”POSSUM” and ”SILLY” (Silly Possum) on a button depicting a possum. Card measures 8.5 inches in width and 10.5 inches in height. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Saturday, Nov. 22, from 11 am to 2 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
