A group of Vintage and Antique Buttons, including Celluloid, Metal, and Mother-of-Pearl, Late 19th to Early 20th Century - A group of vintage and antique buttons, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, encompassing Victorian, Art Nouveau, and potentially early Art Deco styles. The diverse group includes buttons crafted from various materials such as brass, bronze-toned and silver-toned metals, molded plastics (some identified as celluloid), and iridescent shell or mother-of-pearl. Shapes vary, presenting round, oval, square, and diamond forms. Decorative motifs are predominantly figural, featuring classical profiles, cameos, allegorical scenes, and historical or mythological figures, including a kilted dancer, a musketeer, and a woman with a fan. Intricate floral or geometric relief patterns are also present on several pieces. The buttons are presented on a white display card with hand-drawn blue circles. Display card measures approximately 8.5 inches (21.6 cm) high by 6 inches (15.2 cm) wide. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Saturday, Nov. 22, from 11 am to 2 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
