A group of Antique and Vintage Metal Buttons, Victorian to Early 20th Century - A group of antique or vintage buttons, predominantly crafted from various metals such as brass, bronze, and silver-toned alloys, with some examples incorporating glass or possibly paste stone elements. The buttons are affixed within blue-inked circular outlines on a white card, arranged in a diamond pattern. The collection displays a wide variety of styles and motifs including classical figures (e.g., cupids, warriors), animals (e.g., butterflies, dragons), floral designs, geometric patterns, and scenes like the Eiffel Tower, suggesting a likely production period from the Victorian era into the early 20th century. Many exhibit two-tone finishes, some with dark patination or contrasting metal overlays. The card is handwritten with ”42 IN METAL” at the top left, and another associated card shows ”No 112”.
