Bidspirit auction | A group of Vintage Rhinestone
A group of Vintage Rhinestone Buttons, Possibly German, Mid-20th Century - A group of vintage decorative buttons, predominantly round with a few square examples, professionally mounted on a light-colored display board. The buttons feature varied ornate and geometric designs, characteristic of mid-20th century costume embellishments. They are constructed from various metal bases, including silver-tone, gold-tone, and darkened finishes, each densely set with numerous faceted glass stones or rhinestones in clear, amber, and iridescent colors. The style and materials are consistent with examples of costume jewelry produced in Germany during the mid-20th century. Handwritten markings on the reverse of the board read ”85x” and ”30 BUT / NUMBER / BY S. D. A.,” indicating ”group of BUTTONS.” A ruler marked ”HINDMAN PR” is visible in image, suggesting an auction house provenance.
