A group of Late 19th to Early 20th-Century Decorative Buttons, 'Second Prize Tray' - A collection comprising group of antique or vintage decorative buttons, predominantly circular and varying in size, meticulously arranged and affixed to a cream-colored display card. The buttons showcase a range of styles, including naturalistic floral and foliate motifs, geometric designs, and ornate scrollwork. They are crafted from diverse materials such as mother-of-pearl or shell, various metals (appearing as brass, bronze-toned, and silver-toned), some with iridescent or tortoiseshell-like patterns, and several feature inset glass stones, rhinestones, or enamel accents in clear, white, and colored varieties. Handwritten text on the card at the bottom reads ”Second Prize Tray,” with associated notes indicating a likely production period of ”Made 1900-1915.” Card dimensions: 10 inches (height) x 8 inches (width). Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Saturday, Nov. 22, from 11 am to 2 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
