A Collection of Antique and Vintage Decorative Buttons, Late 19th to Early 20th Century, including Portraiture and Egyptian Revival Designs - A diverse collection of over two antique and vintage decorative buttons, primarily arranged on a cream-colored display card. The buttons feature a wide array of materials, including various metals such as brass, bronze, and silver-toned examples, painted enamel or porcelain, carved wood, jet or black glass, mother-of-pearl, and numerous clear paste jewels or rhinestones. Styles are eclectic, encompassing historical portraiture, classical and allegorical figures, Egyptian Revival designs with stylized hieroglyphic motifs, and elegant female profiles. Notable examples include an oval painted enamel or porcelain button depicting George Washington, and a black glass button featuring a Nefertiti-like profile encircled by stylized hieroglyphics. Display card measures approximately 8.5 inches long. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Saturday, Nov. 22, from 11 am to 2 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
