A Collection of Victorian Japonesque Metal Picture Buttons - A group of decorative metal buttons, predominantly circular and varying in size, meticulously mounted on a white display board with blue-inked outlines. The buttons exhibit a diverse range of styles reflecting an East Asian or ”Japonesque” aesthetic, depicting figures in traditional attire (some holding fans), intricate architectural elements such as pagodas, mythical creatures like unicorns and dragons, and natural motifs including birds, butterflies, and floral patterns. The materials include various metals such as brass, bronze, and silver-toned alloys, often featuring contrasting finishes, patination, or darkened recessed areas to enhance the detail.
