A Collection of Vintage U.S. State Seal Uniform Buttons - A group of vintage U.S. State Seal uniform buttons, predominantly crafted from brass-toned metal, with a few examples in silver-tone or black. Each button features a distinct state seal or symbol, including visible text such as ”STATE OF HAWAII” (with its motto ”UA MAU KE EA O KA AINA I KA PONO”), ”THE SEAL OF THE STATE OF ALASKA,” and ”VIRGINIA SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS.” The buttons are affixed to a grid-lined white cardboard display sheet, which bears handwritten annotations in blue ink above each button, indicating corresponding state names (e.g., New York, Texas, Louisiana, Utah) and collector's notes like ”2.00” and ”I have on new card.” An additional, separate cardboard sheet accompanies the collection, holding an assortment of safety pins, some with small, attached yarn pieces and handwritten notes.
