A Collection of Vintage Games and Sports Themed Buttons - A group of group of buttons, predominantly round but with some rectangular and oval forms, mounted on a cream-colored display card marked ”GAMES / SPORTS” and ”25” in handwritten text at the top right. The buttons vary in size and material, including various metals (brass-toned, silver-toned, dark patina), some with enameled or painted designs depicting scenes such as a golfer, a soccer player, a skier, a bowler, hunters, fencers, and other figures engaged in sports or games. Visible game-themed buttons include ”Tic-Tac-Toe” designs and a miniature ”BINGO” card. Other buttons feature designs like an airplane, crossed rifles, a chariot race, rowing, boxing, and a bowling pin carved from wood. Many exhibit raised relief and intricate detailing; some dark buttons appear to be made of an organic material like Bakelite or hard plastic. Display card measures approximately 8.5 x 11 inches. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Saturday, Nov. 22, from 11 am to 2 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
