A Collection of Antique and Vintage Victorian Orientalist Metal Picture Buttons - A group of antique and vintage metal picture buttons, predominantly featuring Victorian Orientalist and Japonisme themes, with some classical and mythological motifs. The buttons are crafted from various metals including brass, bronze, gilt, and possibly pewter, many exhibiting an aged patination. Imagery includes figures resembling geishas, pagodas, dragons, and other culturally inspired designs, consistent with the ”Oriental - Theatre and Opera” thematic grouping noted by the collector. Some buttons incorporate black enamel or painted details in green, yellow, and red. Collector's notations ”Junghans” and ”Mikael” are visible near individual buttons. Sizes range from approximately 10mm to 35mm in diameter. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Saturday, Nov. 22, from 11 am to 2 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
