1971-S Eisenhower Proof Dollar - A 1971-S Eisenhower Proof Dollar. This United States Eisenhower 'Proof Dollar' coin is presented in its apparent original, sealed clear plastic holder with a black textured insert. The coin, appearing to be made of a silver-toned metal, exhibits a brilliant, mirror-like proof finish with frosted devices. The obverse features a profile portrait of Dwight D. Eisenhower with the legends 'LIBERTY', 'IN GOD WE TRUST', and the date '1971'. The reverse depicts an eagle landing on the moon, encircled by 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA', 'E PLURIBUS UNUM', and 'ONE DOLLAR'. The packaging itself is embossed with 'Eisenhower', 'United States', and 'Proof Dollar', and includes small print indicating 'PACKAGED BY U.S. MINT'. Holder measures approximately 5 inches (12.7 cm) tall by 3 inches (7.6 cm) wide. Excellent, uncirculated condition.
