Vintage Metlox California Ceramic Orange Fruit Cookie Jar - A Vintage Metlox California ceramic cookie jar, modeled as a large orange fruit. The jar features a textured, bright orange-yellow body with a glossy glaze. The lid is fashioned as a leafy green top with a brown stem-like finial. Adhering to the lid are two faded, red, California-shaped paper labels, one clearly reading 'CALIFORNIA CRAFTSMAN CERAMICS' with a triple-C logo, and the other partially obscured but repeating 'CALIFORNIAN CERAMICS'. The underside of the lid is marked with the impressed or painted number '8215'. Height: 8.75 inches (22.2 cm) Good overall condition. No chips or cracks. Some crazing is visible in the glaze on the lid's underside. Minor wear to paper labels consistent with age. Burns in-house shipping is available.
