A Collection of Vintage Personal Accessories and Ephemera - A diverse collection of vintage personal accessories and ephemera, primarily crafted from various metals such as brass, silver-toned alloys, and possibly gold-filled materials, alongside items in celluloid, plastic, and paper. The collection includes two pairs of pince-nez eyeglasses, one presented in a worn black leatherette case with a reddish-brown velvet interior. Also present are a group of small ornamental keys, two metal napkin rings (one engraved), and a decorative silver-toned utensil. Further items comprise three hat pins: one with an amethyst-colored stone and pearl marked ”C.P.O.E.”, another featuring a U.S. coin-like top dated 1907 with ”UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”, and a third with mother-of-pearl. The lot also contains two engraved metal pocket knives/money clips, marked ”H.R.A.” and ”MIKE AMES” respectively, and a gold-toned tie bar with ”HA” initials. A group of small enamel pins/buttons, including one with blue, white, and red stripes, is included. Ephemera consists of a group of ”EMPIRE STATE OBSERVATORY” tickets and a ”WORLD'S GREATEST UNCLE” enamel pin on a card. A ”TOLEDO NEWSBOYS ASSOCIATION” shield-shaped badge marked ”2225” is present, alongside a small ”DOVE” blade tool, a straight razor with a yellow handle, and an ornate silver-toned bottle opener. Additional items include a group of various keys, two blank copper tokens, a ”SAINT CHRISTOPHER BE MY GUIDE” medallion, an Aztec calendar medallion on a keychain, and an enamel keychain marked ”HOTEL STA. CLARA ACAPULCO GRO. FEV 20-23” (Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico, February 20-23). A rectangular gold-toned metal case with a chain, possibly a wallet or compact, containing small paper slips, completes the assortment. The items exhibit overall apparent condition ranging from fair to good. Expected wear, surface scratches, tarnish, and signs of age are present across the collection. The leatherette case for the pince-nez shows significant wear and losses. Some enamel pins may have minor chips or losses. The straight razor blade shows oxidation. The gold-toned metal case shows surface wear and tarnish. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Thursday, Dec. 4 from Noon to 7 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
