Edwardian English Sterling Silver Sugar Caster, William G. Sissons, London 1905 - An Edwardian English sterling silver sugar caster by William G. Sissons, assayed in London in 1905. The vessel features a decorative, bell-shaped pierced lid with foliate motifs and a finial. The body is profusely adorned with chased and repousse scrolls, garlands, and fluted designs, supported by a stepped pedestal base. Visible hallmarks on the base include a 'WG' maker's mark, a lion passant, a crowned leopard's head for the London assay office, and the date letter 'K'.
