Rookwood Pottery Art Deco Nude Figurine by Louise Abel - A single Art Deco ceramic figurine, identified through consensus research as a design by Louise Abel for Rookwood Pottery. The piece depicts a stylized nude female figure with a short bob haircut, seated or reclining upon a rectangular, stepped plinth. The figure exhibits the sleek, stylized lines characteristic of the 1920s to 1930s period. The object is finished in a creamy white, high-gloss glaze. The underside of the base features impressed manufacturer's marks, including the Rookwood sunburst logo and the shape number 2868. Additional marks include a molded stylized triangle or 'A' symbol, and a handwritten number 'X6667'. The base is fitted with modern green felt protective pads. Burns in-house shipping is available.
