A Collection of Silver Peruvian and Commemorative Medallions - All silver. The lot consists of a collection of modified metallic circular items, including Peruvian coin pieces and commemorative pendants. The first Peruvian item is a large, highly altered silver or silver-toned coin piece, dated 1881, featuring extensive openwork modification surrounding the national coat of arms shield. The second Peruvian item is a large coin or medallion bearing the Peruvian coat of arms and the inscription REPUBLICA PERUANA LIMA UN SOL, fitted with a fragment of a chain attached to the edge. The remaining items are matching commemorative pendants celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Columbus voyage, both marked 1492 DISCOVERY 1992. Pendant features a profile bust labeled COLUMBUS, and the other depicts the sailing ship SANTA MARIA. The Santa Maria pendant retains a white cord and a small paper tag marked C.P.L. All items have been modified for use as pendants or jewelry components. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Friday, Jan. 30 from Noon to 7 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
