1857 Seated Liberty Silver Half Dime - A United States 1857 Seated Liberty Half Dime, struck in silver. The obverse features the Seated Liberty motif surrounded by stars, with the date 1857 below. The reverse displays the denomination HALF DIME within a wreath, encircled by the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The coin is currently housed in an aged square cardboard flip, which bears the handwritten ink notations 1857 on the front and NL (No Letters/Mintmark, indicating Philadelphia issue) on the reverse.
