United States 1853 Braided Hair Large Cent - A United States Braided Hair Large Cent, struck in copper and dated 1853. The obverse features the left-facing profile of Liberty wearing a coronet inscribed LIBERTY, surrounded by stars and the date 1853. The reverse displays the denomination ONE CENT centered within a laurel wreath, encircled by the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The coin is accompanied by a separate identifying label marked 1853 Large Cent High Grade. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Friday, Jan. 30 from Noon to 7 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
