Murano Sommerso Glass Items Attributed to Seguso/Poli - This lot consists of pieces of art glass: a Sommerso technique vase/votive holder and a spherical swirl marble. The vase is attributed to the Murano school, consistent with designs by Flavio Poli or Seguso (Mid-Century Modern era). It features cased glass construction utilizing the sommerso technique, with a thick, transparent emerald green outer layer encasing a lighter green interior. The rounded square opening is finished with an opaque dusty pink/mauve lining, detailed by thin rings of white and black glass at the rim. The base of the vase displays an etched circular manufacturer's mark depicting an illegible crest motif. The accompanying spherical item is a swirl marble composed of clear and opaque glass with internal swirls of red, orange, and purple/lavender. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Friday, Jan. 30 from Noon to 7 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
