The individual who originally obtained this case and tintype received a handwritten note from the family that is transcribed here; ”This box was made by the gentleman in the tintype and given to Jenny. Jenny was household help of some kind and lived with the Fury family. She came West with this family from Carlisle Barracks in PA (Pennsylvania). She lived with the family until her death in Denver. The Fury girl (Alice) married Roe Buchanon. The case measures x x .
