Rookwood Pottery Matte Mauve Flower Frog Circa 1919 - Has unusual cracks possibly from firing. A Rookwood Pottery ceramic flower frog, circa 1919. The circular, utilitarian object is finished in a mottled purplish-mauve matte glaze. The piece is designed for dual function, featuring circular holes and molded rests on the top surface, and holes arranged within a geometric six-pointed star pattern on the base. Molded manufacturer's marks visible on the top surface include the Rookwood sunburst flame logo, the Roman numeral date mark XIX (indicating 1919), and the alphanumeric production code 1C2LE.
