Mixed Ephemera including Framed Wequetonsing Plat Map, and 1873 Geography Textbook - Collection of units of mixed paper ephemera, books, and advertising materials spanning the late 19th century through the late 20th century. The collection is anchored by a framed plat map titled ”Wequetonsing” (Scale 400 feet to the inch) showing Little Traverse Bay, set in a green wood frame. Also included is a heavily distressed antique textbook, Introduction to Monteith's Manual of Geography, published by A. S. Barnes and Company, New York, dated 1873. The bulk of the collection consists of mid-to-late 20th-century paper goods and advertising. This includes sheets of vintage fruit crate labels, notably sheets of EKCO Brand California Melons (A.T.B. Packing Co., Turlock, California) and sheets of Del Monte Quality Asparagus labels. The lot contains cookbooks and travel guides, including Deutsch 2000, The Tropical Hostess 1948, Irvin S. Cobb's Own Recipe Book, and guides to Ohio and Germany. items of fragrance advertising ephemera are present, featuring sample cards and booklets for Cartier, Givenchy (Ysatis), Boucheron (Japur), Jean Patou (Prive), Guy Laroche (Horizon for Men), and Cabotine de Gres. Miscellaneous items include packaged lots of postcards and prints featuring New Orleans scenes and vintage Coca-Cola and Santa Claus holiday imagery. Additional advertising materials include sealed packages of Coca-Cola lunch bags, a die-cut streetcar advertisement for Longue Vue House & Garden Tour, a die-cut fan advertisement featuring a woman in water, congressional press credentials for 1979 Inauguration Ceremonies, and a 1941 Good Housekeeping Bulletin.
