A Late 19th-Century Cabinet Card Photograph of Indigenous Performers - This late 19th-century cabinet card photograph from Smith's Art Studio in Zanesville, Ohio, features a sepia-toned group portrait of four individuals. The subjects are dressed in Indigenous or Wild West show attire, characterized by fringed leather, intricate beadwork, and embroidered floral motifs. Red handwritten ink on the right margin identifies the subjects as Francis Hemlock, Thunder Cloud, Duck Wing, and Bright Eyes. The text DUCK WING is also visible as part of the embroidery on one garment. The reverse side of the card bears the printed mark of the studio, located at 101 Main Street, and lists S. A.
