Two Early 20th-Century Postcard Albums Featuring 1913 Ohio Flood and Easter Greetings - A group of two early 20th-century postcard albums. The first album features a dark green textured cover decorated with an Art Nouveau gilt floral motif and a central oval portrait of a woman. The contents include a collection of black and white, sepia, and hand-colored postcards primarily documenting the 1913 flood in Hamilton and Dayton, Ohio. These cards depict scenes of significant property destruction, military patrols, and rescue efforts. The album also contains postcards of architectural landmarks and street scenes from Indianapolis, Indiana, and Oxford, Ohio. The second album is bound in red cloth with a landscape illustration in a decorative frame and the word ALBUM in gilt, marked GERMANY at the lower left corner. This album is compiled with an assortment of color-lithographed and embossed Easter greeting cards featuring holiday iconography such as rabbits, chicks, crosses, angels, and floral arrangements.
