A Collection of Assorted Antique and Contemporary Buttons - This collection of assorted collectible buttons is presented on a professionally curated display card. These items are buttons crafted from a diverse range of materials including iridescent blown black glass in a contoured shape with luster finish, pigmented celluloid with floral relief and a double shank, and a glass in metal paste button of the Gay 90s type. The grouping further includes an embedded construction polyester rectangle, a repoussé copper disc featuring traditional Chinese motifs, and a pierced cut-work bone star with a peg shank. Modern examples include an aluminum artist palette button with wood, fur, and acrylic elements marked Tanya Tambs MBS Fall 2012, a molded blue bird marked Cassia, and a decorative white metal button depicting a seated figure. The collection is classified by the Buckeye State Button Society as assorted materials specialized to buttons over 2 inches. The reverse of the mounting card features a second-prize ribbon and judging documentation from the Buckeye State Button Society dated 2020.
