The item is part of a limited edition and contains a gold-tone plaque inscribed NICHELLE NICHOLS TRIBUTE TO GENE RODDENBERRY GENE LIMITED EDITION GOLD PLATED RECORD 203/1500. The record label identifies the manufacturer as GNP Crescendo and is dated 1991 with catalog number GNP 841. The display includes promotional artwork from the album Out of This World that depicts Nichols in her Star Trek uniform and a sequined gown; the artwork bears a signature in silver ink and the catalog number GNPD 2209.
