Vintage 8mm Film Reel and Metal Canister with Hand-Engraved Titles - This lot consists of a vintage 8mm film reel and a circular metal canister lid. The clear plastic reel is approximately 5 inches in diameter and is fully spooled with film. A small 800 is molded into one of the reel spokes. The metal canister lid features several hand-scratched or hand-engraved titles. The central hub is inscribed with Tex Williams and Cheyenne Cowboy. The outer perimeter is inscribed with Mickey at the Races, Mickey Mouse, Peg Leg Pete, and Black Sambo. These titles refer to mid-20th-century entertainment, including the 1947 Western film Cheyenne Cowboy and various animated shorts. The multiple titles suggest a compilation of short films or a repurposed canister. Canister lid diameter: 5 inches Reel diameter: 5 inches.
