Alabama Coon Give Me a Penny Figural Still Bank - This figural still bank is a piece of early 20th-century Americana, identified by the raised cast lettering on the torso as the Alabama Coon model, also known in the trade as the Give Me a Penny bank. The item is constructed of two cast iron halves secured by a single flat-head screw on the reverse. The figure is modeled in a standing position with hands on hips, wearing a wide-brimmed hat and a bowtie. A horizontal coin slot is located on the upper back, and a circular vent hole is present at the top of the hat. The surface features hand-painted accents. Height: 4.5 inches.
