Antique Cast Iron Black Americana Boy Sitting on Chamber Pot Eating Watermelon Still Bank - This is a figural cast iron still bank of a boy seated on a chamber pot, an example of vintage Black Americana. The bank is constructed of two primary cast iron sections joined by a single slotted screw located on the upper back. The figure is depicted wearing a wide-brimmed straw hat with a blue band, a white button-down shirt, and matching pants. He is holding a large slice of watermelon painted red with black seeds and a green rind. A horizontal coin slot is located on the upper back behind the figure's head. The underside of the bank features a circular opening for coin removal. While marks are present on the base, they are heavily worn and not clearly legible. Height: approximately 5.5 inches.
