Jocko Lawn Jockey Hitching Post Figure - This cast iron hitching post topper is designed in the form of a Jocko lawn jockey. The figure is depicted in a dynamic leaning pose, wearing a red cap with yellow trim, a white jacket and trousers, and a red waistcoat featuring yellow buttons and a cravat. The figure is mounted atop a hollow, tapered square pedestal base. Internal inspection reveals the two components are secured via a central threaded bolt and nut assembly. The extended hand is cast with a circular opening intended to hold a metal hitching ring. This piece follows the traditional Black Americana stylistic conventions associated with the Jocko Graves narrative. No manufacturer marks or patent dates are present on the casting.
